So, some dude I've never heard of didn't stand up for the star spangled banner at his football game. I find it distasteful, and it's not something I would do. He says he's protesting something, and people are all pissed off at him.
If you really don't like what this Kappernak (or whatever his name is) did, how about you protest him by not going to his stupid games? If you don't like what he's doing (because I guess it happened again), how about you ignore his ass and show him that his statement isn't working. Otherwise, you're paying him all the attention he needs to keep doing what he's doing.
I, personally, don't care. Homie doesn't want to stand - fine, I'll frown at him, but I'm not going to listen to a damn word he says (my loss, I know, but that's how I handle some behavior I don't care for).
It's like Sarah Palin - for years I was telling people to stop paying attention to her, and she'd go away. The more you rage against her, the more cameras get trained on her, the more she talks. It's a horrible cycle - and it works.
